Upon confirmation of your enrollment, the ACP credit could be visible on your upcoming billing statement. Nonetheless, depending on your enrollment timing, the credit may not be reflected until your second bill following enrollment.

A household is eligible if the entire household income is at or below twice the federal poverty level (for example, $60,000/year for a family of four, $29,160/year for an individual) or if any member of the household meets at least one of the following criteria:

• Participates in certain government assistance programs, such as:
  • SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps)
  • Medicaid
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) (including Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program (Section 8 Vouchers), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA)/202/811, Public Housing, and Affordable Housing Programs for American Indians, Alaska Natives or Native Hawaiians) Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Lifeline
  • Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit
  • Tribal Assistance Programs such as Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Head Start (only households meeting the income qualifying standard), Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
  • Receives benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision
  • Received a federal Pell Grant in the current award year

In order to confirm your eligibility for ACP, we will have to share certain qualifying information about you with the Federal Government

The Affordable Connectivity Program will stop accepting new applications and enrollments on February 7, 2024. Consumers must be approved and enrolled with a service provider 11:59 p.m. ET on February 7 to receive the ACP benefit. Barring Congressional action to fund ACP, funding for America’s largest broadband affordability program is expected to last through April 2024.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is aimed at assisting lower-income households in accessing and maintaining their internet connectivity. This initiative offers qualified customers of participating broadband providers a credit of up to $30 per month (or $75 per month for those residing in Tribal lands) to offset the costs of both internet and mobile services. The ACP will remain in effect for as long as the Federal Government allocates funds to support the program, which is anticipated to extend over several years. The specific credit amount depends on the selected services’ rates.
