Cooperatives play a vital role in strengthening communities, fostering economic growth, and enhancing social cohesion. Unlike traditional businesses, cooperatives operate on the principles of mutual aid, democratic governance, and community ownership. Every year in October, cooperatives from around the county gather to celebrate with their members on October 10th, 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm held at Mosaic Technologies.
The cooperatives encourage its members to join in on the celebration networking with county resources, interacting with cooperatives, entering to win prizes, enjoying a free lunch served by area food trucks, and receiving eligible capital credit checks. This year’s event focuses on gathering to raise awareness for the needs of the Prairie Farm- Ridgeland Emergency Food Pantry. The event will be collecting nonperishable food items, paper products, and financial donations to support the nonprofit organization. Mosaic Technologies and the Barron County Cooperatives look forward to welcoming the community and members to the annual event.
