Making Cents of the Dollars Funding Our Community
We’re proud to be an active member of this community. We are continually making efforts to provide internet and technology to unserved and underserved areas of NW Wisconsin. One of the ways we do this is by contributing to the WI State Universal Fund. This fund keeps key programs running in our communities and ensures future generations have the technology they need to succeed. Here are just a few examples of the programs in our community.
Technology for Educational Achievement (TEACH) Wisconsin
Strengthens our community’s education by providing subsidies for telecommunication needs in our local schools, libraries, technical colleges, state schools, and more. This program helps provide the technology they need to grow and learn in an ever-evolving world.
Lifeline Program
Since 1985, this program has subsidized phone services to qualifying low-income customers to ensure everyone in our community has access to the opportunities and security that having a phone service provides. This enables everyone to explore job opportunities, connect with family members, contact emergency services, and more.
BadgerLink Access
BadgerLink is Wisconsin’s online library that provides information to Wisconsin residents that isn’t available in regular Google or Bing searches. Allowing each and every Wisconsinite access to licensed, trustworthy resources about topics with little online presence.
Broadband grants
This helps get broadband services to rural America through subsidizing the cost to install and maintain up-to-date internet networks. It’s likely that the reason you have the connection to read this blog is because of this grant.

This allows Wisconsin to enhance medical care in rural unserved and underserved areas by upgrading telecommunications equipment that will promote technologically advanced medical services. It provides our citizens the opportunity to get the care they need as fast as possible.

These programs provide life-changing internet access creating opportunities for all to experience. We proudly partner with the state of Wisconsin for these programs as well as others such as the Affordable Connectivity Program, an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more by providing a discount of up to $30/month toward internet services.
We thank you for supporting our area to ensure everyone has the essential services they need. We are truly proud to be a part of such an amazing community.
